Why we made it

Directors and educators spend hours on sign-in sheets, binders of signed forms, incident reports, medication logs, fee spreadsheets and emails to families. Most software that promises to help was built for somewhere else, and BC's licensing rules, CCFRI and the Affordable Child Care Benefit end up as afterthoughts.

Clovernest was built day by day with a licensed BC centre, around how the work is actually done: the door at drop-off, the nap room, the office at month end, and the licensing officer's visit.

What we believe

• Children first. Every minute saved on paperwork is a minute back with the children.
• Families are partners. Parents should see their child's day and handle forms from their phone.
• Privacy is not optional. Children's information is protected by design, and stays in Canada.
• Simple beats clever. If an educator can't use it with a toddler on their hip, it isn't done.
