This website
When you register your centre, we collect the details you give us: your name, role, email, phone, your centre's name, location and size, and your message. We use them only to contact you about Clovernest. If you tick the box for news and updates, we'll also send occasional emails, and every one has a way to unsubscribe.
We keep these details while we're talking with you. If you don't go ahead, we delete them after 24 months, or sooner if you ask. We never sell or share them.
This site uses only the cookies it needs to work (for example, to protect forms against misuse). There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Free daycare pages
If you ask for a free page for your daycare, we use the details you give us to check your licence or registration, build your page and contact you about it. Your page shows only what you agree to; for home daycares we never show a street address.
When a parent sends an enquiry from a daycare's page on clovernest.ca, we email it straight to that daycare so they can reply. We don't keep a copy or use it for anything else; we only count how many enquiries each page receives.
Centres and families using Clovernest
Each childcare centre that uses Clovernest decides what information it keeps about the children, families and staff in its care, and is responsible for it under the privacy law that applies to it (in British Columbia and Alberta, the Personal Information Protection Act; elsewhere, usually the federal PIPEDA, or Québec's private-sector privacy law). Clovernest stores that information for the centre, in Canada, and uses it only to provide the service to that centre.
If you're a parent or staff member with a question about your information at a centre, please contact the centre first. They can see, correct and remove it, and we help them do so.
How we protect information
Information is stored in Canada, sent over encrypted connections, and the most sensitive details (such as health information) are encrypted when stored. Staff accounts need two-step login, access is limited by role, and access to sensitive records is logged.
