Go to Settings → Rooms and click New room.
Fields
- Name: what staff call it, e.g. Toddlers or Before and after school.
- Licence type: pick your licence type to fill in the ratio and group size for your province, or leave it and enter them yourself.
- Age group: e.g. 18 months to 3 years. Shown to staff and families.
- Children per staff member: from your licence. This is used for the live ratio on Today.
- Most children in the room: your licensed capacity.
- Order on screens: rooms are listed in this order everywhere.
How rooms are used
- Each child is put in a room on their record (Room or program).
- Today shows who's in each room right now and whether you're within ratio, as children and staff check in and out.
- Messages, daily reports and enrolment can be done by room.
The room list shows how many children are enrolled in each one, so you can see where you have space.
